Choose one primary objective

An expedition can serve several systems, but preparation improves when one goal leads. A resource run values carrying capacity and safe return. A capture run values control, prison readiness and a squad capable of securing a stunned target. A progression run may prioritize Cores and deeper combat.

Read the Star Map evidence

Events can show resource rewards. Compare those rewards with current colony bottlenecks rather than using a static route copied from a different save. The map is also where trade, expansion and recruitment opportunities enter the wider loop.

Treat the Transport Hub as the bridge

The Transport Hub links the expedition inventory and colony. Use it to return backpack materials and to change which soldiers are deployed. Before leaving, verify that removing those soldiers will not break critical colony assignments.

Prepare for the return

Resources need a destination, captives need prison handling and new Cores need evaluation. If the colony cannot absorb the reward, the expedition may create a queue rather than progress. Clear storage, production and prisoner constraints before the next deployment.

When an event behaves differently

Record the checked date and visible event details. Star Map content is a natural Early Access expansion point, so a guide should describe the current event instead of turning a historical screenshot into a permanent map.
